May 21, 2012   Hi again from our Summer home.  I visited with our friend Ranger Jaquie and she left us some Halibut for dinner.  She is a very busy lady and real fun to talk to.  She thinks I need earrings and glitter on my had.
It has been a busy week and we have been visiting the other State park camp hosts.  We spent the evening with BJ and Dixie and watched the sun go down over the Prince William sound.  They are parked right on the waterfront and really enjoy the eagles that come to feast on the cast offs the fisherman leave. The wind blows there and it is cooler than our camp but the view is spectacular.
We went to the General Store for supplies and I saw this bear trap and know I don't want to see my cousin that is big enough to fit in this trap!

On our way home we stopped to see Ray Birch and their little dogs at the Overlook Campground. This camp is on a cliff overlooking the Sound. It is a smaller park but is very busy when the fish are running.

We are having more visitors in our park and we enjoy visiting with them. There was a couple from Germany and a couple from Australia that are touring Alaska and then going down into the United States.  They have done this for at least 5 years and enjoy seeing new places.  I know they have seen more of the US than we have and it makes us want to go traveling even more.

We have been cleaning up the camp sites and getting ready for the season.  The nights are getting warmer and we are seeing more sunshine, so we are happy.
